Yesterday, a delegation from Asantama UK, led by appointed by Nana Opoku Oware, leader of Asanteman UK, paid a courtesy visit to the Ghana High Commission to the United Kingdom in Northern Ireland.
The team, made up of Nana Yaa Ampem Darko Otchere, Secretary; Mr.Jacob Manu, Chairman; Mrs Philomina Boateng ( Obaapanyin Yaa Nyantakyiwaa Akosombo), Obaapanin of Asanteman UK; Madam Daisy, Obaapanin of Asanteman UK; and Nana Abena Sika, Sub-Queen Mother of Asantama UK, represented the organization with great honour and dignity.
The visit was marked by a warm and gracious reception from the Commission’s staff, fostering an atmosphere of unity, pride, and shared purpose. Discussions centred on strengthening collaboration between the Ghanaian community in the UK and the High Commission, promoting cultural heritage, and supporting community development initiatives.
During the visit, the team also extended a special invitation to the High Commissioner to attend Asantama UK’s Sanitation and Fundraising Event, scheduled for November 1, 2025, at Broadwater Farm.
The delegation expressed deep appreciation for the Commission’s warm hospitality and commitment to engaging with the Ghanaian diaspora. The meeting reaffirmed the shared vision of promoting Asante values, cultural identity, and national unity abroad.
Indeed, this visit was not only diplomatic but also a reflection of friendship, solidarity, and the enduring Asante spirit that continues to thrive beyond borders.
